Estefania Nuñez Villamandos is a Cuban pianist, composer, arranger, film composer, and educator from Havana, Cuba. Trained at Cuba’s National School of Music and later awarded a full scholarship to Berklee College of Music, she has developed a distinctive artistic voice that blends Afro-Cuban traditions with jazz and cinematic composition. A Berklee graduate and recent alumna of the Global Jazz Institute Master’s Program, she created her thesis project, The Enigma of Misunderstood Minds, an original work exploring schizophrenia through music inspired by the lives of her two uncles, a project that will son be released as Estefania’s first EP. She has collaborated with acclaimed artists including Aldo López Gavilán and Aida Cuevas, toured with Mestizas in the United States and Spain, and continues to shape a body of work marked by rhythmic vitality, lyrical depth, and a contemporary vision rooted in Cuban musical heritage.
