Afro-Cuban Jazz

Estefania Núñez Villamandos is a Cuban pianist, film composer, and arranger whose work brings together Afro-Cuban rhythms, jazz, and cinematic language in a deeply expressive and narrative-driven voice. A graduate of the Global Jazz Institute at Berklee College of Music, where she earned a Master with the thesis project The Enigma of Misunderstood Minds where she explores the intersection of music, film, and social impact.

She has performed at major festivals and distinguished venues in the United States and internationally, and has collaborated with renowned artists across the jazz and Latin music worlds. Estefania is also the founder and bandleader of Mestizas, an ensemble with which she has toured internationally and is currently recording a new album that reflects an evolving, more instrumental artistic direction.
